Wow this was really interesting. Listening to this man really makes me think of my grandfather and the war experiences he used to tell us about. Some of the more interesting comments/questions:
• “I was 18 years old….”
• “Real war is nothing like the movies that glamorizes everthing………its horrible…..”
• “What was the toughest things you had to do in the war?”
“Fighting in the cold was horrible”
“How cold did it get.”
“Sometimes your feet would freeze. Some people lost their limbs. A lot of solders froze to death.”
• “We were pretty well fed……but during one battle we didn’t have rations for 3 days and I showed the guys how to dig up eat sugar beets from the frozen ground.”

Yeah seriously we are so spoiled. Most of us will never experience anything like that.

10 PM. Aww the quiet. JK! Tonight was so much fun though. Babysat Max and Hailey. We had so much fun! We all got tattoos! Hailey’s hair looked little little orphan Annie. So adorable! Jen came over with her new puppy and a good time was had by all.
The kids even worked out with me!
